Having the Elite visa does not give the holder any exoneration regarding Thailand immigration & Visa requirements.
Popular Post huberthammer
I entered the country 50+ times on the Elite Visa and had a problem once (mostly at airports with no Priority service). An over eager young Immigration officer started to ask me questions about how many stamps I had and what my business was to come here. I asked him if he knew what that Visa was and when he mumbled that he was not sure I pointed to his supervisor. Once he checked with him I was stamped and he even apologised for the short delay. Other than that never had any conversation while entering the country 2 1

Can we all see what terminology we are using in this thread? "I want to get Elite because I don't want to be hassled." "At priority lane, they put less problematic IO's". I mean like, seriously. You people want to pay money not to be molested? Edited November 13, 2019 by lkv 1 1

Police, Immigration and all the rest. These guys have just gone mental. Did anybody read the advertisments on the website of Thai Elite? Become a friend of Thailand and all the rest? So I molest you, give me money not to molest you. Half a million baht / 1 million baht for: "I will tolerate you and not molest you"? PS: I saw a member is already considering carefully, vs insurance. To him, if he really wants to stay, I would suggest the use of an agent, skip financials, skip insurance, take the money out and keep it overseas. Sure, but that something did not happen does not mean that there was no risk. When you pay far in advance for anything there is always some risk that circumstances will change over time, and it makes sense to factor that into any buying decisions. By the way, if you had told people considering the Elite visa ten years ago that they would be a coup within five years, that would have changed the equation for many. Thailand today is not the Thailand that many thought they were buying into. It is also clear that the rate of change is increasing. Again, if they sold a month-by-month equivalent of the Elite visa for 9 or 10K per month, they would eliminate a major barrier to 99% of potential Elite visa buyers. With the exception of buying cars or homes, very few consumers think 5 years ahead these days. Edited November 13, 2019 by donnacha
