yep he is going to escape , being brain dead,, on a respirator., racking up the hospital tab.

Hey man....the way this story has played out with the phenomenally poor and inaccurate reporting, that guy could be eating sticky rice and having a beer with the cop guarding him while they try to come to an agreement on the appropriate "escape fee".

Brain dead cops guarding a brain dead Yank.🤭 Wonder if they got him handcuffed to the bed, so he doesnt do another runner.🤗

I think they have been watching too many zombie movies. If the guy is brain dead, he is not going to be getting up and making further escape attempts is he?

He might try to leave without paying his hospital bill. This is apparently a widespread problem.

Every time I go to BKK hospital I’m escorted to cashier, at least 50x ive been there, so where are they getting their figures

Yes, that is my experience as an OP. As an inpatient they make you hang around until they are happy. But people do get out of the door leaving a debt behind, they exact some signatures or try to get you to leave your passport. Not everyone has a million sitting there ready to pay a bill. They can't send you straight into a jail cell. A pal was treated like a leper, and I don't mean treated medically!
