'Tis the season to inhale freely; 'tis winter is icumen in; and, what better time, what better way, to win a reprieve from SAD, and, the weight of the usual ecstasies and torments Amazing T blesses, and curses, us ... with ... than letting go of addiction to linear thought, and letting your inner Orangutan loose to play poet ?

This contest, by popular request (determined by scrying), has more challenging ground-rules ... or, should we say: blue-sky rules ?

A tetractys poem: http://www.shadowpoetry.com/resources/wip/tetractys.html

is a form consisting of five lines with the following syllable count: 1, 2, 3, 4, 10 ... or, the reverse.

It is based  on the sacred (four line) ten-dot Pythagorean geometric pyramid diagram that can be linked, mathematically, to the Golden Mean, and, believe it, or not: to the Fine Structure Constant in Physics (message me for link if interested).

Remember: everyone who enters is a winner. Here's an entry, as an example, although I am not allowed to win since it would be unfair for someone(s) who actually is an Orang to compete:

~ Loy Krathong, 2019

full
moonlight:
Ping river's
still high enough
to float your krathong to mae naam's blessing

incense, candle, a kluay-hom-stalk boat,
a coin, flowers,
a deeply
heartfelt
wai

There was a young farmers daughter from Mae jo,

Who got a job in Spotlight A'gogo,

She was dancing on stage

Her father came in full of rage,

But he chilled when he saw the notes in her momo.

My entry.

Funny this should come up good idea Orang.

I love good poetry and keep a few bits and quotes on the iPad.

I had thought that if I spend more time at home in future it might be something nice to do.

I should have been a pair of ragged claws

Scuttling across the floors of silent seas

don't

worry,

Cheeryble:

never too late

to let your inner crab scuttle edgewise

the beauties of the mind's silent seas are

waiting for you

to return,

as their

child
