Thai Meteorological Department announced on Sunday (November 10) that the category 4 tropical storm Nakri is moving slowly west at a speed of 13 km/hr, with sustained winds of about 100 km/hr.

It is forecast to bring heavy rain to the coast of central Vietnam today and tomorrow and light to moderate rain to some parts of Mukdahan, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen, Ubon Ratchathani, Si Sa Ket, Surin, Sa Kaeo, Rayong, Chanthanbui and Trat from tomorrow through Wednesday.

From November 13 to 15, another strong high-pressure system from China will cover upper Thailand leading to thundershowers first in the Northeast and the East then the Central and Northern areas. The temperature will then fall away and it will feel colder thanks to strong winds. In the North and the Northeast, temperatures are likely to decrease by 3-5 °C while in the Central region and the East, the drop will be 2-4 °C.

For the South and the Gulf of Thailand, the northeast monsoon will intensify across the area with isolated heavy rain in the South.
