DOE readies almost 80,000 jobs to tackle unemployment

Department of Employment (DOE) director-general Suchart Pornchaiwisetkul said on Sunday (November 10) that his department is preparing 79,247 jobs for unemployed people nationwide in accordance with Labour Minister’s MR. Chatumongol Sonakul order to monitor unemployment during the economic slowdown and prepare suitable measures.

Graffiti wall become the longest landmark in the northeast

Nakhon Ratchasima’s Culture Office has invited more than 30 graffiti artists to create works on the theme ”Korat: the art city” after the government named Chiang Rai, Krabi, and Nakhon Ratchasima or Korat as it is colloquially known, as pilot cities for arts. The city has also been selected to host the 2nd Thailand Biennale, a biannual international contemporary art exhibition.

Flat growth in tourist arrivals to Chiang Mai

The number of Thai and foreign tourists visiting Chiang Mai since January 1, 2019 remained unchanged year on year while the number of hotels has increased from 2,200-2,300 in 2017 to 4,000, offering 10,000 more rooms to a total of 60,000, said La-Iad Bungsrithong, President of the Northern Thai Hotel Association.
