Mr Smithy
You have a visa exempt entry not a visa on arrival. You can easily extend by a max of thirty days for a fee of 1900Baht at any immigration office
Popular Post elviajero
You can only extend by 30 days for tourism. If you are the spouse or parent of a Thai you can extend by 60 days. 2
fishtank
You cannot extend a Visa on Arrival but you can extend a Visa Exempt Entry (which is what you have) by 30 days. 1,900 Baht fee,.

This also means you have to do a 90 day report.

Wrong The 60 day extension application is considered as doing a 90 day report. " 5. The first application for extension of stay by the foreigner is equivalent to the notification of staying in the Kingdom over 90 days." Yes you can. Any permission to stay can be extended, once, by 60 days. In theory you could extend by 30 days for tourism followed by 60 days to visit your family; but I wouldn’t guarantee all offices would play ball on that.
