yellowboat
Craving constant acceptance, he likes jumping on any international bandwagon. If all this is true, why is he buying so many weapons? Submarines are non threatening.

'Sustainable' seems to be the 'go to' word at the moment. Any of the world's problems can be fixed by sticking the word sustainable in front of them. Think population growth or energy resources. That is known as tactical withdrawal in any army. Throw in 'sustainable' and it's a winner. A tactical withdrawal to maintain a sustainable fighting force. ???? That is the reasoning behind buying all that Military Hardware as tanks and Armoured Personell Carriers..... He suspects that soon the 'Thai Public' are going to get tired on his 'reckless power' and start revolts---- as in Hong Kong now..... ALL that 'armoured' equipment is intended for use against his own 'Thai people'....... If you haven't considered and thought about that.... Time to wake up and smell the coffee...... An APC didn't help Diem and Nhu. Not the same situation in Thailand, of course. But the point is those machines can be mobile prisons as well as fortified limousines. Sonhia
I'm commanly known by Thai as a farang as well as an alien, my humble apologies for being born a low form of human being that resembles an ATM, BANK and not forgetting Alien, who is uneducated, uncultered, knowing nothing apart from drinking, sex and smoking, that assists, financially, many Thais plus the Thai economy, but Is the dictator also head of state?
