Naew Na reported on the latest internationally wanted criminal to be arrested who was hiding out for years and years in Pattaya.

This one was a 45 year old Chinese man wanted in Fujian province for an 85 million baht bank fraud committed around 2013. An arrest warrant was issued in August 2017.

The suspect came into Thailand on a tourist visa in March 2014 and was permitted to stay until April 11th of that year. He extended for three months at Samut Prakarn immigration for medical reasons until 8th July 2014 but never bothered to extend again.

He was found in hiding in Na Klua Soi 16 Bang Lamung.

Deputy immigration chief Pol Maj-Gen Suraphong Chaiyajan led the press conference at HQ announcing the arrest.

Naew Na mentioned the Thai prime minister Prayut Chan-ocha, DPM Prawit Wongsuwan, Royal Thai Police chief Gen Chakthip Chaijinda and immigration chief Lt-Gen Sompong Chingduang as being behind moves to ensure that all Thais and foreigners on arrest warrants are brought to book.

Would this include the Red Bull kid and the Shinawatra family?

And the TM30 law and the 90 days report don´t help when the "bad guys" don´t make it. Only the "good guys" do it.

But it does restrict where the bad guy can stay, he cant check into any legitimate hotel as they will do a TM30. Without a TM30 the bad guy cant use immigration, renew a license etc etc.

Reminds me of Spain many years ago when they started digging out all the criminals in Marbella  etc. Costa del crime as it was labelled.

Well CharlieH I just read an article today about the worst beaches in the world.

And Pattaya was named as one of them and called Costa del crime.

Yes, it does, but, as neither of them are in Thailand apparently, what do you expect the RTP to do about them where they have no jurisdiction?
