A dynamic new concept for radio in English language in Thailand has just been launched in Chiang Mai. It is a collaboration between Creative Chili Co,. Ltd. and Saucy Media Asia Co,. Ltd Thailand.

The Chili Radio Group of Thailand has introduced Chili Pop (formerly Happy Radio 98.5FM) and Chili Dance as the first two brand new streaming radio outlets for the country.

They will have local and national content from Thailand and are the first of a series of a new streaming series of various formats which will be added to in 2020.

Happy Radio 98.5FM will also change its official brand name to Chili Radio Thailand

This name change will be reflected on all our digital properties such as our apps for iOS and Android, our website (chiliradiothailand.com) as well as our Facebook and Instagram accounts.

We expect this transition to be completed by December 1st, 2019.

More exciting things to come in 2020

We will not stop there. During 2020 we plan to launch 3 more radio channels that will be available in our apps.

This means we will have a total of 5 channels with different programming available on our apps.

These channels will diversify our offering and we will be able to reach a broad selection of audiences throughout Thailand.

On top of that, our apps will also be enhanced with a unique integration with social media such as Facebook Messenger and similar channels.

For the first time, radio will evolve into the future and connect our listeners with our sponsors in ways that were not possible in the past.

We look forward to sharing more exciting news in the near future.

Is this broadcasting from CM as in a studio, like the little radio booth in Maya Mall?

No, as I understand it, the program is networked from a location in Hua Hin but the DJ comes to C.M. often for promotions. I imagine he records the news for both regions a few times per day and uploads to the app.
