What Trump has done is rip off the veil that was keeping the ugly part of America under cover. We thought prejudice was almost gone, but with Trump's horrific rallies and policies, white nationalists have become emboldened, homophobic attacks have surged, Orwellian doublespeak is now a daily offense.

Trump WILL be impeached, Congress has the votes, this is a done deal. I really do fear this process will fan the flames of his blinded supporters and he very well could get a second term.

We ALL need to pray for the president. Psalm 109:8

Look it up, you'll get it.

I do hope so. It will be very entertaining when it gets to the senate, but not for the reasons you are hoping for, IMO.

Nothing to fear, nothing to hide.

I agree that the senate may fail to convict and have thought so and noted here since this began. It does not however make this a waste of time.

The evidence just continues to stack up on Trump and when he can no longer hide behind the immunity being president affords him, he will be charged with multiple offenses.

Also, it is important that the truth be known for historical reasons even if there is no conviction. The situation so far is beginning to show that Nunes - among others - is involved in this. And Nunes is one of the very people who is meant to bring balance to the house proceedings.

The testimony from witnesses is vitally important and will assist law makers for years to come.

So, no it is not a waste of time at all.

Everyone that voted for him knew all the bad things about him unless they lived in a cave without tv or radio and never read newspapers. Yet they still voted for him.

Nothing that's come out of these proceedings is worse than the stuff before the election.

It's not going to change any supporter's mind.

That's why it's a waste of time and money, unless something really bad comes out and he does get convicted in the senate.

So far nothing that bad enough has emerged, IMO.

However, if the Dems could get a decent candidate they might have a chance, but so far a candidate capable of unseating him is lacking, IMO, which is why they are trying to impeach him. It's the only way he doesn't get re elected, IMO.

There have ben plenty of first hand witnesses. Are you denying that?

Witnesses to what?  nothing happened. Bunch of career, unelected, staff who were angry their little empires were asked to change. Trump should have done what Obama did and fired every one of them on Day One - that was a stupid mistake. POTUS has every right to withhold aid to investigate why the VP's son is NOW a multi-millionaire with no experience, nor language skills and was being investigated by the prosecutor who the VP got fired by with-holding aid.

It will win Trump the 2020 election not because Americans like Trump but because most people hate the Dem hypocrisy. Polls are turning as we write. I can't wait to see there little faces when it gets to Senate and 2020.  Such fun!

Trump fooled them once, shame on them. Fooled them twice, shame on America. The 4 years of lies, deceits and corruption will catch up with him in 2020.

It is possible he will take a deal. He may die before he is he charges are laid. But I am confident. And no, I don't gamble and I certainly don't gamble with anonymous people. But thank you for the offer.

Hum... just facts actually and as I support pro-choice, anti-gun, pro-climate change and like Yang/Gabbard I can hardly be called a 'Trump supporter'. I just hate the hypocrisy and am convinced millions of others do too. They are not stupid but let's wait 2020. Biden is damaged goods, Warren fanciful dreamer who thinks she's a native American and Sanders is yesterdays guy I'm afraid.

WHO is going to take on the mighty ego of Trump? Bloomberg? what are the Dems doing for America these last 4 years?  just chasing a 'bring down Trump as we can't beat him' pipe dream. I'm looking forward to 2024 when all these dinosaurs will be out of circulation.

From your post reply it seems you may have not grasped the point of my post. I was not talking about the voters for the next election. I was talking about keeping a record of history so people with open minds and intelligence of future generations can review and possibly learn from these times for prosperity.

The average blue collar voter, in only my opinion, who voted for Trump didn't vote for Trump per se, they were sucked in by his cheap talk and and his continual propaganda of first saying the previous president wasn't an American citizen and followed with all the other propaganda throughout the campaign. I strongly believe that anyone who listens to someone of Trumps ilk and starts sprouting his catch cries blindly without educating themselves on the facts is a moron.

And unfortunately there is a hell of a lot of moronic people in middle and working class America. I've also met some Americans who have considered then dismissed Trump's rhetoric and decided they would take a gamble on his strong arm tactics on domestic and foreign policy because they wanted to buck the establishment and see if a multi fail businessman who has been bailed out multiple times by banks has the methodology to win at politics and good fiscal governance.

But most of all, Trump was a protest vote. It could have been anyone spouting the "I will do it better than them because I am a business man and I wrote a book to prove it." Trump played those morons as suckers.

And much like Brexit the otherwise intelligent people who did the protest vote to send a message never really considered they would win. By many accounts Trump didn't think he would win either. But then everyone had an 'oh <deleted>' moment in the cold light of day.

Farmers are now paying for Trump's poor policy, blue collar workers are paying for Trump's poor policies, White collar workers are, too.

I deal in part with export of materials from USA used to create fundamental products in countries all over the world. These products are often used, in part as a barometer of how an economy is running. I am seeing emails from suppliers regularly from the USA undercutting themselves offering me absolutely unheard of terms just to have me take product off their hands. And I am usually pleading to simply get supply from these suppliers even when times are average. I am usually not even an afterthought.

That tells me a lot about Trump's 'perfect' economy more than any other metric does at the moment.

That is true. There is a shortage of quality candidates with policy and the statespersonship to manage a country like the US. With China's military strength growing, Iran, Saudi and Turkey getting more excited and the usual suspects having praised lavished on them for the last three years, The US is going to need a quality leader to navigate the next couple of terms.

People are starting to put Buttigeig up as a possible future leader. Don't know much about him though.

Bloomberg.

Buttigieg is a mere babe. He's a shoo-in for ambassador to Malta though!

Bloomberg seems level headed based on his Mayoral duties. But so did Rudy Guiliani circa 9/11 times.

Do you think Bloomberg will lose votes on protest based on what the last billionaire did. He may have left his run too late.

I think this run will be the best chance Bloomberg will have ever had. We're at a place now where the normal political rules don't apply. Normally as he put this before himself Americans wouldn't go for a short New York Jew. Yet in the last democratic primary a socialist Jew (with New York roots) almost won the nomination. Instead a bizarre no experience demagogue with a history of corruption won the presidency. Normally enter so late in the democratic primary would mean no chance at all. But there are so many democrats all basically splitting up the votes in various lanes and the presumed frontrunner Biden is the weakest presumed frontrunner in modern history. So no I don't think being a billionaire per se will make or break Bloomberg.
