Above is a Mangoe.Below is some of the Mai Yung of which there are about 800,Mai Padoo about 400 and the Mai Payoong. about 400.

 

 

and the teak which is about 25 years old and apparently don't like wet feet which would explain why most aren't to happy.We have about 850 of those.

Thanx.It was more to provide some scale.I'm much more of a ATX guy than a car guy.I once rode from Chitral to Karimabad in Pakistan.

He kept this post alive in the early days when Owl was having PC issues and it seemed that almost every picture he took has his mountain bike in it so it was a nice homage to him.

Sadly, he passed away earlier this year

The cow has made it. Went around to have a look tonight and all seemed well.

 

 

The owner was very happy to have his pic taken with Mrs Cow, Probably the only asset he has.

It was a bit hard to tell when the cow was on the ground. Still not sure how you can tell. Never mind; it's safe.

 

 

Should do something about that hole though. Next time it could be a courting couple falling into it.

The Lao Khow bottle looks very clean. I reckon it was a thirst quencher for the chog-chog lads. Don't know what that hole is for. Perhaps one of the many abandoned projects.

 

However, I've moved on. Saw a giant Buddha bunny at the w/e. Pics next Owl Log, which will be exciting; guns and all.

And yet again the month changes. September starting today. Time flies alright.

 

Paid Mildred's extra-time school fees yesterday. Seemed like lots of drawing and colouring going on and not so much in the way of English being taught. But as long as M enjoys it, that'll do for me.

 

 

Milly tells me that the school is strict on the mask wearing; especially in the mornings. Not so much after lunch.

Mrs Owl has got into the habit of chopping things up on the tiles in the kitchen. The little bits had started to loosen.

 

 

I picked them out.

 

 

Gave myself a bit of work. Better, I think, to replace the whole tile rather than cement the little pieces back. Hope Mrs Owl has learnt a lesson.

Had to go to Udon on Saturday last. Intended to get a pic of the giant tree at the north end of Adunyadet Road, but didn't manage it due to traffic. Did find a giant bunny though.

 

 

Mrs Owl reckons it is a Buddha promotion. I doubt that though. There was a wagon close by selling something. Wish I could have ventured more, but the Mrs would have started moaning.

That's it for this wet season I think. Some areas of central Thailand have had flooding, but August, up here north of Udon, was just as it should have been. As for the ponds; four filled 100% and the other three about half meter from the top. So not too unhappy.

Bang on the money. I don't like all the fancy stuff with food and drink. Three in one suits me fine, but it tastes much better if Mrs Owl makes it. However I have made the occasional cup; but only when I had to.

 

I just can't deal with all these modern trends; smart phones, personal grooming, cooking, ironing, barbers and dentists.

Open to a variety of interpretations, mostly do not enter at night, but could also mean at any other time if not appropriate. The implied threat of being shot is way over the top but will probably keep the kids away. Sort of confirms your opinion of him. A total bell-end.

We have a wooden chopping board. It would be easier to replace than those tiles.

I use a chopping board when I'm preparing the ingredients for my reishi. But Mrs Owl is Thai old skool.

 

I'm thinking to re-tile the whole base. Have plenty of cement. I'd have difficulty cutting the tiles, but not too old to learn, and I do have a angle grinder. Now pull the old tiles up or tile over the top?

I find it’s the somtam gear which causes the most wear and tear on the worktop !

 

 

Bought the gf one of these to lessen the blows :

 

But she didn’t care for it, probably didn’t make the somtam tasty enough ? ( ???? ), and besides sitting on the floor cross legged to make the somtam is much better ..... right ?
 

 

 

She kept that hidden for a while with an old t-shirt of mine ( supposedly to clean your feet ) ????
