snoop1130 Posted November 18, 2019 Share Posted November 18, 2019 Revenue transfer from state units exceeds Oct target By THE NATION The State Enterprise Policy Office (SEPO) received Bt63.642 billion in revenue transfers in October from state enterprises and enterprises in which the Ministry of Finance holds less than 50 per cent of total shares, said Prapas Kong-ied, director-general. “Last month’s transfers exceeded the month's target of Bt58.094 billion by about ten per cent,” he said, adding that “the amount contributed 34 per cent of the revenue transfers target of Bt188.880 billion for the 2020 fiscal year (October 2019 – September 2020), which is a good start”, he said. SEPO’s deputy director-general Charnwit Nakburi said the top five contributors in October were the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (Bt18.301 billion); PTT Public Co Ltd (Bt13.139 billion); Government Lottery Office (Bt8.191 billion); Provincial Electricity Authority (Bt5.733 billion) and the Government Saving Bank (Bt5.409 billion). Prapas said the main factors driving state enterprises’ revenues were the adoption of an integrated operation policy and the deployment of innovative technologies that promote sustainability, prepare them for future changes and increase profits. “Revenue collection from state enterprise is one of SEPO’s missions to help strengthen the country’s financial status, as well as improving confidence among domestic and foreign investors,” he added.
