Insurance mandatory now..? Or has he got it wrong.

Recommended Posts

A friend told me today that he was informed that health insurance for no less than 400,000 was mandatory now for retirement visa.

I haven’t been told so by my visa agency...so has he got it wrong...?

He got it right. Then again, he could have gotten it wrong. It all depends. But first of all, tell him to get his facts straight.

Another topic which can not be answered because information is incorrect or missing.  There is no "retirement visa".

Also further heresy, a friend was informed... by his neighbor's dog....

Finally this topic has been beaten to death several times and is covered in other threads.

What is the best hamburger in Chiang Mai?

Or, on the other hand,  the hospitals realize how much money they lose if long-stay farang with the resources to pay are prevented from staying here because they don't want to pay excessive premiums for dubious Thai insurance.
