You can get food and drinks there and you also have chairs and tables there. A great idea. BUT you also have a very big stage where a band plays at a volume that without earplugs you might not be able to sit there. I don't understand this business concept. People come there to sit there, enjoy their drinks, have food and talk to each other. But this is only possible for deaf or almost deaf people that can stand the extreme noise and can talk to each other with signs. I think they lose a lot of money by restricting this great idea to only such customers. I see this very often in Thailand. Popular Post seajae Posted November 21, 2019 Popular Post Share Posted November 21, 2019 when I attended a party my wife organized at her work and the music was loaded with full bass and set as loud as it would go distorting it very badly I adjusted it so it was still very loud but with bass turned down a bit with more treble so it actually sounded good, lasted all of a couple of minutes before some idiot went and changed it back. Every event with loud music in Thailand has full bass and no treble and turned up as loud as possible, the music is always distorted because of it, I am convinced many thais have no music sense what so ever so need the bass turned up full so they can feel the vibrations instead of listening to well balance music, maybe due to being brain dead, hard to tell at times with some of them. We are one street back from the local park so when they hold any events the windows in our house shake very badly due to the full bass and you cant hear each other talk unless you shout, thais have no idea what music should sound like, maybe thats why they like stuff that sounds like screaming cats 1 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Needles to say,the day was ruined, and we packed up an left. samsensam Posted November 22, 2019 Share Posted November 22, 2019 yes thailand can be a noisy place, but it is relatively easy to avoid the noise. i live in bangkok and have peaceful days and nights; the apartment block is well managed and anyone causing a disturbance is removed, when loud building work was going on nearby the owner negotiated/agreed no noise before 8am or after 9pm, there is an unnecessarily loud annual three day festival held in a nearby car park but i'm on the opposite side of the building so sleep fine - though i do have to turn the tv up a bit. research where you're going to live; both location and management would be my advice for a quiet life ???? 1 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

But the sickening bass can travel for miles and still penetrate a building. But maybe this is one situation where being in a city can actually make it quieter because you are surrounded by so many other concrete buildings absorbing the noise and bass frequency.
