SET President Pakorn Peetathawatchai explains that the whale is the symbol of an ecosystem that requires human actions to rebalance.

 

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) is collaborating with 14 businesses with premises along Ratchadaphisek road, 12 social enterprises and environmental partners to push forward a zero waste campaign under the “Care the Whale project: The Climate Action Collaboration @Ratchada District Initiative”.

Toll fees to be dropped on two expressways over New Year

Surong Bulakul, chairman of Expressway Authority of Thailand (EXAT)'s board, announced Thursday (November 21) that the board has agreed to waive the toll fee for the Burapha Withi Expressway and Kanchanaphisek Expressway (Bang Phli-Suksawas) for 8 days starting at 12.01am on December 27, 2019 and ending at midnight on January 3, 2020 as a New Year gift to expressway users.

4 Cambodian monks arrested for illegal entry

Four monks from Cambodia have been arrested for illegal entry into Thailand, after police were tipped off by the locals in Krabi that they were involved in fund-raising activities in southern provinces, said Immigration Police chief Lt-General Sompong Chingduang November 21.

Future Forward leader Thanathorn to continue political role outside parliament

BANGKOK (NNT) - After the Constitutional Court on Wednesday (Nov 20) ruled to disqualify the Future Forward Party leader, Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit, as member of parliament (MP) for having shares in a media company when applying to become MP, Mr. Thanathorn pledged to continue his political role outside the parliament. The Deputy Prime Minster, Gen. Prawit Wongsuwan, said political movements can be organized outside the parliament but they must be within the scope of the law.

Shoddy construction likely to blame for collapse of Phuket gas station

‘The Cave’ – It’s frenetic and covers a lot of the rescue and the main players

The Thaiger went to the first session of Tom Waller’s ‘The Cave’ and loved it. It’s frenetic, it’s very busy and it covers a lot of territory regarding the scope of the saga. But it also lacks focus, a lot of the actors play themselves with varying success and, well, we already know the (mostly) happy ending.

Pol Lt Gen Montri Yimyaem, Region 2 Police Commissioner together with officers from Pattaya City police station in Chon Buri province on Thursday (November 21) announced the arrest of Zuo Guobing, 40, and Li Shengxiu, 31, both Chinese nationals, for allegedly using skimming equipment to copy and transfer user data from several ATM machines in the Chon Buri area.

The Earthquake Observation Division of the Thai Meteorological Department on Friday (November 22) reported that the 5.9 and 64-magnitude quakes, which hit the landlocked country yesterday (November 21), had so far been followed by 61 aftershocks – about 3 an hour – of between 3.0 to 5.2-magnitude.
