work permit with visa validity date expired

Hi,

 

I'm currently staying on 90 days extension from a non O visa. Can I apply for a work permit?

My future boss would like me to start before acceptance of work permit, once you got the work permit can you still be arrested for previous days without permit? don't want to upset my possible employer but it looks scary.

i not think so... many years ago when i started my company, i would work as soon as the workpermit was in process, no problems!

You can apply for a Work Permit with a Non O visa if you’re the spouse or parent of a Thai, or some voluntary work. 
 

It’s unlikely (probably possible) that they would take retrospective action. But you’d almost certainly be prosecuted or have CN problems if caught working without a WP.
