Speedo1968
Not sure if to ask here or in the computer forum ... Yesterday and before I have been able to download UK tv series from Dailymotion, logged in or not. Also download from Youtube. Today, 26 November 2019 am unable to download from Dailymotion with whatever programs I have and / or by using a VPN. For downloads I use 4K Video Downloader, ClipGrab, Gihosoft TubeGet. Never had this problem before unless the site is restricted by the producer of the TV series ( I don't mean porn ). Anyone having the same problem ? wgdanson
I was under the impression that you cannot download from You Tube without extra software like Internet Download Manager, and I have just tried and proved it on my system anyway. Will give Daily Motion a go. Yep, same with DailyMotion, cannot download unless IDM is turned on.
hereforgood
I just checked no issue copying the link address and downloading with the free program Format Factory works for all sites

I can find nothing in download blurb for FF itself about downloading a film / tv show etc. from YouTube or or Dailymotion etc. Can you please clarify ? Some video downloaders also have a change format option so you can change a music video from MP4 to MP3. Is this what you mean ? My issue is with being unable to download TV programs direct from Dailymotion or Youtube etc.

I run Win7 original. One day I could download from Daily Motion and YouTube the next day I could not. Did you download Internet Download Manager as a stand-alone program
chrisinth
IDM is not part of windows, it is a 3rd party application that needs to be downloaded. Not sure if there is a free version for this though.

What message do you get from 4K Downloader? I can download from Youtube and always have done using 4KD. As for Daily Motion, I never go there, but just tried it and 4KD says unable to parse and to send a link to them to solve? Usually with 4KD they do updates after a few days and things start working again?

I keep 4KD up to date but never had this issue before. Have used for some years now. Tried again today Wednesday but same problem. Will try again later in the week. I go to Dailymotion for UK TV series that YT often don't have or only have a few episodes. I don't have a TV and like some of the international TV series as well as UK. I enjoy UK and international TV series ( old and new ) and don't want a TV, so DM is often better than YT.

What downloaders did you / do you use if not 4KD ? I don't seedbox. Yes, I managed a long time ago to download all, first time 2015 then again in Feb 2019. As far as I remember I used 4KD for both times. Unfortunately I deleted some issues, may have back ups somewhere. 4KD was also good for downloading foreign TV series from DM as complete series often not available on YT. Excellent ones from Iceland, Finland, Netherlands etc. I kept many of them.

With IDM there is a onetime payment of around 1000Bt which lasts for life, I have had IDM for about 12 years now and I have to say they always answer your emails very quickly if you have any problems. But be aware if you use the Opera browser, you will have great difficulty downloading from Youtube.

Speedo1968
OP - Have, for the moment, seemed to have found a way around downloading from Dailymotion on one downloader - Gihosoft TubeGet. With GTG it is free to download 5 videos per 24hrs. With 4K still cannot parse. If I open DM home page and type a search and it is found I cannot download it ( cannot parse ). But, if I open DM by pasting a previous downloaded video address I can then search for other tv series etc. and download them.

Like I said in an earlier post, my 4K updated itself today and the downloads work again from Daily Motion inc the example of video mentioned on this thread. The web sites like Youtube and DM keep changing so you have to wait for the downloaders to update as well - takes several days sometimes.
