Mouldy sausage roll at Bangkok airport - authorities force King Power to act

The chief of Suvarnabhumi airport in Bangkok has reacted swiftly after a mouldy sausage roll was found at one of the airport's outlets. 

 

Unusually for stories of this nature the shop was named. It was Aimm's Cup Corner. 

 

This shop were renting as part of an arrangement with the King Power Suvarnabhumi Co Ltd group who had responsibility for the shop. 

 

Airport chief Sutheerawat Suwannarat was quickly in contact with King Power to sort out the matter. 

 

He said that the sausage roll in question had not been put in the fridge which worsened its condition. In addition the product had no manufacturing date or sell by date. 

 

Consequently a staff member had put old and new stock together on the shelf.

 

Staff training was now in place to make sure there would be no repeat. 

 

He assured the public of high standards of food and cleanliness at Bangkok's main airport.

The Customer = disqualified for going public.

AOT = Definitely qualified for being at the top of the food chain.

King Power = Definitely qualified for having a finger in every pie!

Nah the saucage was far too big or THAI, they only serve mini portions.

Same here. I don't buy sausage rolls anymore, cause mold in these products seems to be quite common. (Bought a few ones that were moldy insight over the years). The Mrs., however keeps buying them, so I usually take the rolls apart for inspection before eating them...

 

Funny thing is, being charged 150 or 200 baht for a sandwich, etc. at the airport, I always presumed that the quality of the food sold there was better than average. As if... Guess, I will eat before getting to the airport in the future.

With no manufacturing date or expiry date I don't know how this is going to be achieved?

The photo above conjures up rather pornographic visions and the OP photo is nothing but a shriveled wiener that needs to be examined by the forensics department.

These are proper sausage rolls, made with sausage meat. They are hugely popular in the UK.

A bit of blame shifting then? Surely fake news - such a well esteemed monopoly would never let profitability interrupt their pursuit of quality customer service? Even more disturbing is what looks like the big first bite into it! I hope someone has a toilet nearby!!
