wowpow
The London Thai Visa office lurks in a dingy basement on Queen's Gate. It closes at midday, closes for Thai and UK public holidays and does not like to deal by post. You have to leave your passport there and go back a couple of days later to collect. If you phone in you can get recorded information at premium rates. The Birmingham Office answer the phone and give polite advice and they like to deal by post and do so promptly. I speak of two years ago so maybe different now.

the scouser
I know I may be accused of bias, but it has to be Liverpool. It only accepts applications by post but telephone enquiries are always politely dealt with and good information given. The staff (I don't know how many there are) appear to be all British so there is no room for misunderstanding, and they deign to speak to members of the public unlike the Thai diplomats at the embassy in London for whom everyone who is not a diplomat is untermenschen. Scouse.

gadgetsteve
Cardiff is my favourite, it took me no more than 5 minutes to get my last Non-Imm B visa. Friendly, helpful, and fast - the complete opposite to the London office.
