those transfer fees and even hidden much worse transfer fees on some machines and then the 220b is a killer! Oh not to mention your home bank fees....!!!!

Agreed.

 

Then again I'm living back in the UK now. All of the places that exchange money quote 35/45 (+ commission) as their rates buy/sell, rather different to the 38/39 that one would see in Thailand.

I'll keep my 8'ish '000 Baht in my bag until I next visit the LOS!

Well i can understand him well, Thai atm's don't work many times and also not when trying to get cash on your creditcard.

 

And that 220 baht surcharge is also pure theft...

Well they wouldn't would they, but it's not too difficult to work out. All ATM transactions are logged whether they issue money or not.

 

So a quick consultation with the bank's database and it's gotcha!
