Three Thai winners of BMW Golf Cup International National Final 2019 at the world’s largest golf tournament for amateur golfers

The BMW Golf Cup International National Final 2019 was recently held at the Banyan Golf Club in Hua Hin, with three national winners selected to represent Thailand at the BMW Golf Cup International World Final 2019 at Fancourt Golf Resort, South Africa. The World Final will be held from March 2-7, 2020, with national champions from around 40 countries joining, recognised as the world’s largest international tournament series for amateur golfers.

The national winners in each category are as follows:

 

  • Category Men 1 (handicap 0-12) – Wit Sangwitayanon (40-39-79), Stableford Score: 40
  • Category Men 2  (handicap 13-28) – Ampol Pakjaroen (44-38-82), Stableford Score: 39
  • Category Lady (handicap 0-28) –  Chatbongkot Rattana (38-44-82), Stablefod Score: 38

 

The World Final Round of the BMW Golf Cup International 2019 will be held at the famous Fancourt Golf Resort, one of South Africa’s biggest gems, where the national Thai team won the World Champion in 2017.

 

The national champions from around 40 countries will have a “once in a lifetime” sporting experience with a golfing legend Colin Montgomerie, as a special guest to honour the finalists by holding a golf clinic and presenting the trophies.

The BMW Golf Cup International started life in 1982. After 37 years, the tournament has become a truly global event. With 100,000 players teeing off at 800 tournaments in 50 countries, this tournament series has been the world’s largest golf tournament for amateur golfers.

 

The BMW Golf Cup International National Final 2019 was held at the Banyan Golf Club, Hua Hin, Thailand, with 126 amateur golfers selected from the qualifying round early this year.
