Give him the death penalty: Parents of slain teacher speak out

The parents of a 33 year old teacher murdered over the sale of a motorcycle in Rayong have called for the death penalty for the murderer.

Khru M and his wife Khru Naen, both 33, were both viciously murdered in their home last Wednesday.

There is only one suspect. He is 22 year old Suphakrit "Title" Sujasri who was arrested soon after in Chiang Dao in the north of Thailand attempting to flee to  Myanmar with the aid of a friend.

Suphakrit had contacted the couple - both teachers at a private school in Rayong - to buy a Ducati motorcycle.

Sanook reporters went to the village of Ban Tom in Phayao in Thailand's north where they met Kaew and Anong Phianngam preparing for their daughter Naen's funeral.

Mother Anong said she had spoken on the phone to her daughter on the 27th who told her about the impending sale of the motorcycle for 570,000. She said the buyer was coming later that day.

She never called again.

The next call was from Anong's sister who told her to steel herself for bad news.

She described the terrible shock that came from the news that she had lost her wonderful daughter.

The couple went to Rayong on a tour bus; relatives thought it was unwise to drive themselves in the circumstances.

They viewed their daughter's body at the hospital and the mother recalled in tears that she and her husband had said they were going to visit with rice once the harvesting season was over.

Kaew said that only the death penalty will do for his daughter's murderer. If not what is the point of having it, what would Thai justice mean, he observed.

The law needs to be tough on the perpetrator of such a heinous crime, he said.

What crime did they commit? Politely decline a lower offer, thus causing the young Thai guy to fly into a murderous rage due to the rejection?

Life in jail would be a better punishment.

Yeah, let's feed and clothe him, give him a roof over his head and allow him visitors for the rest of his life.

Maybe those of you that have been jail could add.

What other lerks and perks could we offer this animal?

The guy had no money to buy the bike, so he premeditated the murder and robery.

they were heavily in debt to loan sharks.

Being in debt is not a reason to be murdered by another party. Your comment is irrelevant unless you know otherwise. In that case, contact the police and let them know your firsthand "facts".

Being in debt to the wrong people is the fastest way to get murdered in Thailand.

Many loan sharks will pay a 3rd party to do the deed.

Sure wish we could reintroduce the death penalty in the UK. I would say have a referendum on it, but the useless roaches in parliament of all sides would not enact the people choice ! Again !

So the state can put to death the likes of Edith Thompson, Timothy Evans and Derek Bentley in my name? No thanks.

There won't be a referendum precisely for the reason that the British public would probably go for the return of the death penalty. It is to the credit of the politicians that this has been blocked. They never thought that Brexit would be chosen; a disastrous mistake it was to ask the people who were manipulated into a terribly unwise decision. They would do the same with the death penalty.

Better to keep this Thai murderer, assuming he is guilty, away from the public for ever in solitary confinement. No parole. Extended and unrelenting misery until he dies.

So the loan sharks kill someone ( people owing money to them) doesn’t make sense....how do they get debts paid...

usually LS threaten and break a few bones but the debt is still there to pay....hit man steals the bike and now has bike - this asset doesn’t equal cash...

hit man story makes no logic or reason to have debtors dead vs pressure to collect
