webfact
Chiang Rai: Three members of municipal finance office found dead: parents and daughter Thai caption: Three members of same family dead Mystery surrounds the death of three members of the same family found dead in a house in the Ban Doo sub-district of Chiang Rai in the north of Thailand. The dead are two parents and a daughter and they were all workers at the local municipal finance office. The mayor suspects murder but the police are keeping an open mind. Udom, 57, was found lying in the living room. Natcha, 51 was nearby. Their daughter Saowarat, 26, was dead in a bedroom. Their bodies were found by a co-worker friend after they failed to turn up for work yesterday. There had been no contact with them since Friday. Autopsies are underway though preliminary findings suggested they had been deceased for three days. Ban Doo mayor Patanapong Poket expressed his shock saying that the family were all well known to him. They were likeable people with no apparent problems with anyone. They would go out in the district on their motorcycles to collect various payments as part of their duties in the financial office where they had been employed for many years. All recent conversations with the family had been normal, he said, adding that he did not believe they had killed each other. He said he thought it was murder. Deputy provincial police chief Pol Col Santi Kongsamak confirmed that the three victims were parents and daughter. No evidence of gun cartridges have been found at the scene. He said police were waiting on the autopsy results and keeping an open mind as to whether this was killing within the family or murder by an outside person. gk10002000
The autopsy of course will be key. Possibly recent cold snap and a defective propane or gas heater, Carbon Monoxide or Carbon Dioxide issue?

Just because no one has committed suicide and then hid the gun, doesn't mean, it cannot be done. If it is possible, you have to believe the BIB will be the first to figure it out. ???? Ever read the Sherlock Holmes story about a Spanish woman who killed herself with a gun and managed to frame her husband, until our hero solved it. She had the weapon on a kind of piece of elastic and after shooting herself in the head it was propelled into the depths of a river. chivo
amazing that 3 family members all work in the same govt office, especially one as sensitive as local finance. I realize family business is a way of life in Asia, but would imagine that to relate to private enterprise, not govt financial institutions. triple risk of corruption!
