Is  there is a difference between being "pen pals" and email?
I lack the terminology of a better term?

The term escapes me.
Does that make sense?

Sorry for this presentation,  It is awkward, I know.

In my head,  I want to be pen pals with you.    To make that connection,  that kind of relation.
In my recollection, the notion of being "penpals" took effort.   You had to write the letter with  a pen or pencil on paper,  then you had to put the actual paper in an envelope and go to a post office place to send it,  and then you had to wait and think upon it.

To give it a soul and all.
What does the newer penpal imply?

Does it have a soul?

I am not saying that I want to go back to the old physical letter days, but,  I want to use email to be penpals.
