Move on NCPO orders voted down

In a vote on Wednesday (December 4), the coalition government overturned the opposition's motion to set up an extraordinary committee to study impacts of the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO)'s orders issued under Section 44 of the interim charter.

 

There were 244 votes against the motion, five in favour and six abstentions.

Amazingly corrupted government. And that's an great find madmitch. Thailand is hopeless under the crimes and hypocrisy of the regime and its cronies.

Politics in Thailand is as big of a joke as in France, the UK, the US or anywhere else !!!

... I am still amused that people even talk about this BS !!!

 

GOVERNMENT is the problem ... free people don't need Governments !!! Slaves do !!!

Welcome to the real world. The powers-that-be have made sure that well-meaning-but-doomed-to-failure attempts like this one will fail; they had several years to stitch up the country and paternalism is one of the few things Thais seem to do quite well. Economy in the pan? education lagging behind the rest of the world? Never mind, lets think up some more propaganda and fake news, that'll fix it...

 

Works every time if you keep the people stupid enough for long enough.

And frightened enough.  The stupid Americans voted for Trump but they did not vote out of fear. Here the Thais, and they are not stupid, have been butchered every decade and had their right stolen off them. To call them stupid is a cheap shot. They are in an impossible position.

People from HK are demonstrating and fighting back against China's influence. I will stop here. This is actually something you don't read much in Thailand. I am sure you know the reason.
