Thailand’s Election Commission (EC) will decide the fate of Future Forward party leader Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit next Wednesday, in the case involving money he allegedly lent to the party.

EC chairman Itthiporn Boonprakong said today that the Future Forward party did not submit any additional information to the EC’s investigating panel by the December 2nd deadline.

The party, however, had asked for 120 days to gather relevant information for submission to the EC probe panel, which rejected the request on the grounds that it has already given the party enough time.

I am pretty sure they have already decided his fate, and it will be ANNOUNCED on December 11th !

It won't be a good outcome for him, or Thailand overall.

The courts always have one more thing they can use against you. Thailand is out of control. The people I know are speaking up more and more sick of this. I expect something to snap soon. Not everyone can or wants leave the land of their birth to be treated fairly. Those who benefit from this system are truly selfish evil souls. They are the root of every single one of Thailand's ills from abuse by the privileged to uneducated kids to poverty to rape to scams. Blame everything on those in power now, those same families who have kept the power, top jobs and opportunities since the beginning of Thailand as a nation. They are disgustingly selfish and greedy.

Bashed from pillar to post,

Thanathorn knows what's coming, how he and the FFP deal with it in the coming months and years will be their founding legacy.

I know what you mean, Leeneeds - but I would say that it is far more a question of how the Thai PEOPLE deal with these matters in the coming months and years that really counts.

I am confident that the vast, vast majority will DO nothing - and Thanathorn will be hung out to dry. It is so sad.

Why say EC to decide Thanthorns fate on december 11th?
They have already been given the order from he has has to be obeyed.

This so-called government will stop at nothing to destroy Thanathorn, by what ever crooked means possible.

It just shows how scared they are of him. They know he can't be bought and he won't comprise his principles.

Considering that the EC has earned a well-deserved reputation and is known to be a beacon of fairness and impartiality, this could really go both ways, depending entirely on the merits of the case before them.

And Santa Claus is coming to town.

I believe moves are afoot to bring the whole of his party down in the near future, I have no doubt they will do that as Thanathorn would still be a major influence if they don't stamp out the main opposition out now. Blatant but that's what they do.

And rest assured, the Thai's will do nothing, just let it happen. (Hope I am wrong)

Please do not allow the 2nd Thaksin to make all the mess the previous one before.

Tycoons shall be banned from politics everywhere !

How do you figure that Thanathorn is the 2nd Thaksin?

Why should tycoons be banned from politics?

If tycoons should be banned what do you suggest should happen to the organisers of a military coup?

I do not think that banning him from politics will keep him quiet. Surely, he will still be free to comment on what is going on.

When are they going to ban the convicted drug dealer, arrest the MP who was still allowed in parliament even though an arrest warrant had been issued for him, arrest Pareena for encroachment, etc. Are these also so minor when compared to the non-issue they are hounding Thanathorn for?

When they can do this to an educated billionaire with an opposing view,

there is absolutely zero chance that anything is ever going to change in this country for millions living under this fraudulent government and their sponsors.
