DubleA
Greetings all. I am generally not new to the area, as I have been here a couple years now. I have a small problem though, as I was diagnosed with ADHD back in the usa, but I have not been able to find a doctor in Korat to help with my symptoms. If anyone knows of any doctor that could help, I would truly appreciate. Thanks and kind regards to all. AA

Sheryl
You will likely need to come to Bangkok. There is very limited experience with ADHD in adults in Thailand. I am not clear if you are already stable on medication and just seeking refills, or in need of active management? (Makes a difference) This is a private psych hospital in Bangkok with appropriate specialists https://www.manarom.com/index_eng.html If you cannot afford priavte and mostly just need meds then suggest a psychiatrist at Siriraj Hospital, which is a government hospital. Google maps has it but can't seem to paste here. Plan on 2 days and bring a Thai speaker with you the first time. Sheryl
Siriraj Piyamaharajkarun Hospital is private wing of Siriraj and so also expensive. I meant the main Siriraj Hospital. It is a bot south of SIPH.

DubleA
Thank you all. Yes my ADHD was diagnosed back home and I thought going alone would be OK until I had some relapse. I appreciate all the info and thank y'all!

DubleA
Thanks all for the Intel. I live in Nachorachasima, not Bangkok. I understand it's hard to find psych doctors here because the culture is weird about mental illness (most people deny it's there - as I've seen locals walk practically naked in the streets). They ignore it hoping it goes away. Again thanks, as I have some web browsing and calls to make about this. Cheers to all, and I hope all are doing well. Even the main givt pyschy hospital on Bangkok does not stock them. Wheteas I know Siraraj does. OP I neglected to mention you should bring copy if your medical records or doctor's summary from back home with you-- if you don't have it, get it. (One page letter summarizing diagnosis and past tteatment will suffice). Ritalin etc are tightly controlled here and many Thai docs are unfamiliar with adult ADHD so it may otherwise be difficult. Obviously (and understandably) a misunderstanding. The psychiatrist is in every weekday 8.30 AM - 4.30 PM (except friday afternoon)

DubleA
OK thank you. I didn't know it would be so difficult, the pharmacists that I have checked with don't have it either and Gave me a really weird look. I don't think local clinics would have it, as they are usually just generalists. I appreciate all the input.
Sheryl
The weird look from pharmacies was because you were asking for a tightly controlled drug that only hospitals are allowed to have and dispense.

DubleA
Yes but I even asked for aspirin, which I have not found either. I thought it's just they did not understand me. Thanks and I appreciate the feedback. ????
