Photo: Phuket Tourist Police PHUKET: Two Romanian tourists on holiday in Phuket are safe after the longtail boat they had hired for a sightseeing tour was swamped by a large wave the upper reaches of Phang Nga Bay late yesterday afternoon (Dec 6). Luca Mihai Saceanu, 29, and Alina-Nicoleta Trana, 33, had hired a longtail boat to enjoy a tour of Ao Phang Nga National Park, reported Maj Ekkachai Siri of the Phuket Tourist Police. The couple had driven from their hotel in Patong to Koh Klang Pier in Takua Thung, Phang Nga, for the tour, he added. DJ54 Posted December 8, 2019 Share Posted December 8, 2019 Was at Phi Phi island we had a early flight out and opted to take a long tail instead of going back the day earlier. We use the same / driver every time. Sea was choppy and we started taking water and drivers wife was using bucket most bailing water, I get sea sick so it was a painful but we survived or should I say I did...... wife was fine.
