webfact
Enough fiscal room to implement policies: Somkid By THE NATION Deputy Prime Minister Somkid Jatusripitak, left Thailand still has fiscal space to continue the government's policies and projects in the medium and long-terms without impact on the state coffers. Deputy Prime Minister Somkid Jatusripitak made the remarks on Thursday (December 12) after the meeting of the committee on government finance and fiscal policy to consider the medium-term fiscal plan for 2021-2024. Somkid said it was a good thing that S&P Global Ratings had revised its outlook on Thailand's sovereign credit rating to positive from stable, which reflected that the Thai economy was still in good shape when compared to many other countries. However, Thailand would still keep a close watch on the economic situation next year, he added.
