The worst Labour defeat since 1935. Corbyn even managed to win less seats than Kinnock!

But, just as the arrogant Corbyn appears in denial, so do many Labour voters.

Many Labour canvassers feared the worse because of the unpopularity of Corbyn that was expressed on so many doorsteps. The union leader McCluskey said the rash of policies which promised everyone everything immediately were a big reason for this disaster. People just didn't believe them!

Corbyn, and his Momentum Socialist Workers and marxist cronies, just can't accept that the people of Britain don't want, nor ever will want, a Stalinist type state that interferes and tries to control everything and a leader who openly supports a terrorist organization that has murdered many British people.

It is a shame what has happened that Lifelong Labour voters have been ignored and poncified by Champagne Socialists. If I had the chance, I would have voted Tory, as Labour deserted the working class and from the wranglings, still cant see it and will probably continue to do so.

My old fella would have turned in his grave knowing that but he would have been even more horrified the way the Labour party have gone, in its direction.

The Cons only increased their popular vote by approx 400, 000.

From 13.6M to 13.9 M. It would appear there are not many new Con voters about 1.2%

Nevertheless, a clear majority of 80 seats, and quite possibly 10 years in office.

Big beautiful trade deal coming with Trump. Tired of winning yet?

When I see, how quick and how beautiful the trade agreement with China is ( going to be once)  finalized, I wish the British very much luck.

What was it Barnier, Junker, Macron etc etc all said "May's deal is the best deal. We cannot renegotiate"!

Sooner trust a known serial liar than a hypocrite arrogant Stalinist who openly supports terrorist groups.

a) Is the new Boris deal so much better than the May deal ?

b) I think, with this you describe the vote-decission the best: "trust a known serial liar than a hypocrite arrogant Stalinist who openly supports terrorist groups "

Thank you. At least we are able to agree a trade agreement and not punished for it. Good luck with the EU. The UK have voted and decided they are fed up with having to do what the EU want. the Netherlands along with others seems to like it though.

My parents are in their 80s and one is blind yet they still managed to walk the mile or so to the polling sation to ensure catweasel got his Khyber kicked.

Their efforts landed their candidate a 30+k majority, retaining his (Tory) seat.

One thing I agree with Boris is thick stupid people are exactly that - thick stupid people  but hey you knew that didn't  you ? My investment portfolio has had a nice boost and I strongly suspect expat pensioners can wave goodbye to that index linking- thanks for helping the new Brexit Britain to fly. Your contribution has been noted.  Credit where credit's due.
