Mark mark
“The days of Europeans visiting Pattaya in large numbers are over”, Mr Damrongkiet said. … Yes, things are Changing and Re Bars in Thailand, probably for a long time now, like well since I first Started Visiting them in Cowboy, back in the 80's .... … Like I think that it has been slowly changing down Gears, re Bars since then. … Like first there was the final acceptance of the REAL existence of HIV Aids .... and well the whole tourist Society has been slowly Changing also ! ... Like bars have been going down, (And putting their Prices UP !!! ???) …. but beer Gardens, which are Less Claustrophobic … are Coming up !!! … Like You like Sex ! but not Alcohol, Noise and smoke ? Well go to a beer Garden. Or well even take a look for Nice Girls, reading news Papers, … in the dark, outside of Robinsons or other Classy Places ! ??? … and Cut with the chase, and probably save yourself, … and the Woman !!! a LOT OF money !!! And then there is the Danger of Alcohlism, which well, takes Hundreds and HUNDREDS of men down, from ALL races in this Country I think. .... Well probably Thousands !!! ... But well that is another story, ... Right ... re why people are not going to"Bars" any more ! ? ... … Like at risk of being Pulled d/t Off Topic, I can tell you that in the 80's the Clock tower Square, in That really Great Multi Cultural, and very Interesting … AND ! Friendly Place, Melaka on the Straits, Just South West of KL, in their main square, the Clock tower Square, back in the 80's ... there would have been 2 to 300 White Foreigners, on any day, and sometimes even more !... about 10 Asian tourists, ... and about 150 Malays trying to give them rickshaw rides, or sell them something !!! NOW, ... NOW !!! … There would be about 300 Mainland, and other Chinese, … and they DO, do it in Shifts !!! … Like the tourist buses that take them there, have their parking up areas !!! all over the Center of the town !!! ... and maybe 5 White western Tourists !!! … If you are Lucky ? …. But still the same 150 Malays, … trying to sell them something !!! Like REAL Tourism ??? … Like, things have Changed ? … And am I upset as I walk past every day when I am there, ... NO, it's their Turn !!! Right. (Along with the Russians ! ??? Right ?) 1

geisha
Everywhere is dead here, the malls, massage , restaurants , bars. only the markets are doing well, especially the night market at jomtien, tho the stalls close about 10 pm. That said, there were 15 tour buses parked on jomtien second road this morning ,after Rompo . Maybe they’re parking here instead of Pattaya ???

The number of paying Farang customers wishing to come here to spend money on the nightlife scene will be inversely proportional to the number of Indian groups roaming the streets looking for prey. And it,s going to get worse ???? That's the same as western girls wearing bikini all day and swim with it back in the hotel....????

It is noticeable that petty crime has risen since the army take over. Crime statistics seem to be a hidden topic hereabouts. Does the RTP even publish an annual or semi-annual crime statistics report for the public? I wonder if the RTP has a Uniform Crime Reporting System or Crime Analysis Program at the local level. Has anyone ever seem a police patrol district map in the "news"? Seemingly, no dedicated patrol units; seemingly, no motorized traffic units; seemingly, no radar units and no speed limits that are enforced from years of driving here. The "seemingly" list goes on and on.

Sitting in traffic 13:00 on Sukhumvit with Soi 22 on my left hand side. I witnessed 2 police stop a tourist walking down the sidewalk to check his passport. finished with him, they turned around and stop 2 tourist on a scooter and frisked them down. I not know if pattaya is the same but if I go on vacation to a country and they want to arbitrarily stop & frisk me, I will never return. Thats not the vibe I want when I go on vacation. Would be very unusual to happen in Pattaya but it is really normal for Thong lor police to do these days. The worst area imo (thong lor police area). I would not want that vibe during a holiday or normal life, one of the reasons I left Bangkok 2 years ago (they once even tried to put drugs in my cigaret pack + stole 2k baht from my wallet during the search).

Who, or what drove them out? The authorities here have only themselves to blame, for the massive collapse of the tourism market. I am not referring to the tens of millions who fill up the airports, and clog the streets, but bring little in the way of revenue. But rather middle class tourists, and wealthy tourists who used to frequent this nation, and have not come back for a dozen valid reasons. Talk about biting off the hand that feeds you. Pattaya has a variety of attractions for the family. It is a huge city and the three blocks lining the beach in Central Pattaya represents a tiny fraction of the city. Pattaya has a few tracks for carting that are outstanding. All levels. Tennis. Bowling. Movie theaters. Sailing. Alot for the kids to do. This drop in tourism has little to do with adult entertainment. It is about 10-20 enormous blunders the government and the hapless immigration authorities have made, and it is too late to fix that. Popular Post Chivas
No one should be suprised. Great swathes of Pattaya deserted by midnight in November. Most quiet I've ever seen it. The Thais have cooked the Golden Goose. There is sadly no recovery from this. The last 12 months people have been relocating and visiting many for the first time Cambodia, Vietnam and Philippines (me first time shortly) There is nothing left in Pattaya. If 25 years ago it rated 10/10 in value fun entertainment smiles than today is 2/10 and one of those points relates to hot weather year around Its over...... 5
Popular Post aspenbkk
im usually in pattaya now but i wondered my landlady there in the past had asked me for to leave a deposit of 13000 baht this time but i think that was in case i did not get in the country because i had been there 4 times this year already and i gather she would keep the money if i was refused entry. After seeing people on here being refused i decided to go to the philippines and vietnam to spend my money and both were full of many whites chinese some indians not the usual you see in pattaya holding hands walking spending nothing . i spent far less in both drinking and eating everyday like i did in pattaya and bkk enjoying my self feeling at ease not worrying about being scammed in bars or by women , philippines is better than it was 5 years ago the guys drug policies has cleaned up the streets or get shot so they have disappeared and i honestly did not see 1 problem while here and they chinese were not like in pattaya everywhere . So now plenty other places to go as pattaya has sunk 40% down that shows what white people have said we spend the money in bars and restos not chinese or indians or russians i have been going there 20 years and saw how it was going over the last 3 years so no surprise and it is saying it is getting worse so its up to the thais to tackle their goverment about tourist issues now .
