Future Forward party on the offensive against the Election Commission

Recommended Posts

I fear the only option to get justice is to topple the government and  the so-called "independent" organisations (EC, CC, NACC etc.).  Not a realistic scenario, so FFP seems f-ed.

When up against a crooked judicial system 5x the lawyers won't be of much use.

What it will become will be a public relations skirmish.   Bad press means fewer tourists and the elite will be looked down upon.  They may not like the outside world, but they hate having foreigners look down upon them.  They love face.  It will also have effect on trade deals.   They most likely will spend a lot of time publicizing their attacks on the crooked EC.

Thanathorn has already proven himself naive in the past, believing he would never be found guilty of charges brought against him. Now he thinks that he and his supporters won't be shot in the street if they continue to protest. What is it one military guy once said, if you put a glass of water on the edge of the table don't be surprised if I knock it off.

Two heads are better than one. Five X even better.

FFP needs to make noise and lots of it. This is what they are doing, quite effectively.

Best make it 50 X then, according to your logic. Or even more!

Totally agree. The historical examples are there for all to see, and very recent history at that.

Naive or arrogant, or both? A relatively young billionaire, from a very privileged background, possibly, like so many wealthy here, thinks laws and rules simply don't apply to him or can be brushed over with any excuse.

Media share; loaning money to the political party you founded and lead; organizing protest rallies without permission and infringing places with no protest boundaries. Leaves himself wide open.

Or perhaps, this is the strategy. Hope to stir things up?

Just because those in power don't follow the rules. put themselves above all laws, and say the flimsiest of excuses when challenged on them; and get away with it. doesn't mean those challenging them can. Any opposition has to be the smartest lot in the room!

Too many cooks spoil the broth.

Strange all these old wise 'sayings'. They all have an opposite 'saying'.

Wise men think alike

Fools seldom differ.

Look before you leap

Strike when the iron is hot.

The pen is mightier than the sword

Actions speak louder than words.
