Rightly so, why throw good money after bad when you know that it will fall on deaf ears, a stronger police presence on the roads equipped with breathalyzers and on the spot fines or confiscation of motor vehicles should and will bring better results than a useless campaign...

but THEY NEVER do what you suggest DO THEY???

His recommendations are not to speed, not to drive in the wrong direction, not to violate traffic light control, use a safety belt, carry a driver’s license, don’t pass other vehicles in unlikely spots, don’t get drunk driving, wear a motorcycle crash helmet, drive a motorcycle in a safe manner and don’t use a mobile phone while driving.

Maybe start with teaching the masses this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law

you can't "enforce" anything without

A reformed police who ae actually trained in road safety practices.

They also need to be free of corruption and paid a proper salary - e.g. a professional road traffic police, not recruited from the paramilitary.

You then need a legal system that can steal with offences

A judiciary that is independent of the police.

A quick system for giving out fines

Asysem for recovering the fines

This requires an effective system of vehicle registration and ownership and the laws covering it.

You need clearly signed calibrated signed and marked roads so their can be no argument of infringements. Many roads will need to be comple=ely rebuilt.

Lanes junctions etc need to be designed so that motorists CANNOT make unwanted turns and driving the wrong way down any carriageway needs to be almost physically impossible.

street furniture and pedestrian facilities have to be installed and this further requires modiciation of roads

Lighting at night and surface friction ratings need to be constantly monitored

You need calibrated and professionally operated and positioned monitoring equipment, reassessed speed limits and locations thereof, cameras, radar and breathalizers all need to be operated within strict and universal guidelines.

all accidents need to be hayseed and categorised - into minor, serious and fatal injuries. Measurment and statistics need to be gathered to scientifically decide where such things as speed limits and road signs are located.

Analysis oath stats will show which kind of incidents are most prevalent and where they occur.

a total review of all the Tai traffic laws needs to be carried out............ Nabobs need to be prevented from making ridiculous and uniformed pronouncements and dictums re- road safety - for the health of the nation.
