The junta isn't the problem.  It's a symptom of the problem.  Get rid of this one, and another will eventually follow.  May take a couple of years, but history will repeat itself.

So the problem is the level above the military? That makes the problem a little more complex.

The use of inducements to get members from the opposition to defect.....yes they are all the same.thanthorn will have a slice of the cake if offered.politicians are all out of the same barrel in my eyes.one bad apple out,one fresh apple in and repeat.all full of good intentions and promises at first then the rot sets in.yes I'm afraid to say it's all over the world.

  • The former Pheu Thai secretary-general cited some examples of the Government’s alleged misdeeds, including:
  • The Prime Minister’s incomplete recital of the oath during the swearing-in ceremony
  • The Government’s refusal to clarify the sources of its revenue in the new budget bill, in violation of the law
  • The appointment of a former drug convict as a member of the cabinet
  • The questionable fund-raising by the Palang Pracharat party, which was cleared by the Election Commission, while the Future Forward party is facing dissolution for taking loan from its leader
  • Alleged abuse of power by using the justice system to intimidate or destroy opposition parties
  • The use of financial inducements to persuade opposition MPs to defect.

That's a good start.... some people have short memories, it's good to have the truth published once in a while so people can remember just what they've done in the past.

Perhaps he should publish all the crimes and iffy things done by PTP and it's predecessor parties too?

Too easy to forget that crooks complaining about other crooks doesn't make them honest.

This list could be a thousand items long and it wouldn't make any difference. I suspect Thailand will have to live with the pseudo-elected leadership of its military gov't until Prayut Chan-O-Cha wants to step down and hand his power off to a hand-chosen faithful crony. The "constitution" should be a complete farce by then.

it is a complete farce already.....

Now you all know what the purchase of the "120 Stryker Armoured Personnel Carriers" from America were for, ready for this unrest, I can't see why they would need them for any other reason. The PM has said he needs the A.P.C's and the "8 new US AH-61 Strike Helicopters" in case of insurgents from their neighbours, who the hell would want Thailand, nobody has for 800 years.  "Thailand to acquire a total of 120 US armoured vehicles" headlines from 28th August 2019. Just saying.

He missed a few failures.

Interesting article from a non-Thai source.

Thailand’s ‘five families’ prop and imperil Prayut

Clans behind kingdom’s ‘big five’ companies thrive while economy slides and disparity widens

He will never give up.

For 5 years he have this pressure. He not care. Only himself.

Unfortunately it is Not "only himself".....he has the backing of MR.BIG and the whole Golden Kaboodle. This will be a very hard nut to crack if Thailand wants to move forward(at least into the 21st) and open a "bright" future for the under-classes.

Good article. Shame that something like this isn't widely shared in Thai media.

And from that article:

"The banquet raised 622 million baht (US$22 million) for the new party’s coffers, corporate donations the Election Commission subsequently ruled were above board and not in violation of electoral rules or regulations."

Unbelievable. Say that 100 times and keep a straight face.

Future Forward Party, which lists oligarchy-busting in its manifesto, has announced it will sponsor a bill in parliament to promote more competition in local alcohol markets, a not-so-veiled challenge to ThaiBev and Boonrawd’s long-held duopoly.

Now that shows Balls!....FFP are in essence attempting to wrangle-in the whole Golden-Kaboodle. Considering the Pitch They have on the playing field, does make for insurmountable odds.

Would it not be interesting if Thailand awoke one smoky morning to a tantum of blackness so complete that it would eclipse in magnitude of all previous forms of "Black-Friday".....an epic economic meltdown that would bankrupt the "Big-Five" of the Thai corporate whordom!

Only then, would there be a pell-mell pitch and the playing field leveled.

Until such an event comes to pass.....we all know what happens to 'Heros'.
