If you don't like Pattaya you don't have to come here,go back to the place you come from, or has

that place not enough hookers for you and is freezing cold.

I did leave, I can breathe again and swim in the water.

Thru my mask away, but I sure miss the stench at the entrance of the beer garden, oh the memories of pattaya- little Calcutta.

paradise,????????????????????????????????

Phuket for udon? You will be in tears within a few weeks

Don't listen to negativity like this "stuff" above. Your likes and dislikes are yours and the opinions of others, while worth listening to, aren't worth a squat as it pertains to "your" life. Check Udon out again. You will make the right decision.

I’ll definitely look into that. I’ve never been to Pattaya or that area. I’ve just heard it’s basically a seedy place and has a bit of a bad reputation.

That is just a rumor started by those that are jealous of the Pattaya millionaires, living life by the sea where the beer flows like wine, and the milk maids do not look like raisins.

What the hell is a milk maid?

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milkmaid

the photos are pretty clear

now just let your mind imagine what it could be

it you have in a place like that a bunch of guys with a big sexual apetite

and on another hand no cows available, and you get the whole concept of Pattaya

I’ve been to Khon Kaen as well but didn’t like how open everything felt... at least around the cinema/shopping mall. Udon Thani had this closed off feeling. It was a while ago so maybe I’m misremembering or I’m just weird.

Of the two I prefer Udon myself.

Having read through this thread so far you seem to be quite switched on.
As has been previously said it really depends on what your needs are at any particular time.

If you want more peace and quiet with the ability to go up and socialise when you want it’s a decent place to stay. It is generally older guys who end up here, particularly at this time of year where they are visiting their once a year girlfriends.

There are lots of beautiful ladies in your age range here. Just spend an afternoon in Central and you will soon see. There is an abundance of music bars in and around Udon where you will find many Thai ladies of an evening.

It’s nothing like Pattaya as far as evening entertainment is concerned. I’ve stayed in Jomtien before and loved it. Pattaya can be heaven or hell depending on your personal situation. It caters for all. I happily managed to spend 15 years plus “holidaying” there when I was younger 20/30’s) so I’m def not gonna knock it but Udon area ticks more boxes for me at this time (with a visit to Patts when I want ).

As a previous posters said, you can fly to Pattaya from Udon cheap as chips if you fancy a wild weekend.

Enjoy.

Thanks! ???? i think my mind is made up. Udon seems like a good place to setup camp for a while. I just won’t be signing any leases.

Circumstances isn't a very common name for a girl

Not quite. I am 66 years old, married to my Thai wife who is 55 years old and we have a 14 year old son together. We have been married for 15 years.

I know this is Thailand, but please don't judge.

I don't judge you

i have been on a similar path some years ago

My post was just a joke, we rarely move from a touristic city to nakhonowhere

if there is no a girl or a woman (Grilfriend or wife) behind the project

no offense with it

On a more serious part just think about it

we have only one life, and if you spend your time doing something or living somewhere

you don't like, in a way you are wasting a part of your time. And soon or later you are going to regret

it and you will feel remorse.

Don't force you to do something you don't really want to do,or to live where you

don't want to live.

You can be pretty sure nobody will do the same thing for you if the roles was inversed.

just move where you want to be and enjoy your life as you want to live it

sometimes you need to be selfish and think to you first

It was my 2 cents

of course up to you

anyway good luck

I appreciate your honesty and reply. No offense taken.

Unfortunately, it was a financial decision and a something I also had to do so my son could go to a Thai English program school-for what it's worth.

Well a lot of Thais are called Porn

Precisely. And so when a number of Porns get together in the market it becomes a Porn hub.

Why do they spell it PORN.

I would think PAWN would be more suitable.
