Billions season 5 starts tonight.

Billions S05 started in May, it ran for 7 episodes then stopped abruptly, as production stopped due to COVID.

You got my hopes up, I was hoping to see the conclusion of the events of last series. Still not as good as the first couple of series, but still worth watching.

Oops

Thanks for that.

I just read that it was recommencing.

Didn't realise it stopped with 5 episodes to air.

Interesting new series started on Chaos :-  Outback Ringer.

Follow a handful of brave men and women making a living catching feral bulls and buffalo in the desolate Australian outback. It's a high-risk, dangerous job, filled with high-reward and a hell of a lot of deal-making.

Better was, "Wind River" with Jeremy Renner, which I thoroughly enjoyed

Really enjoyed it.

Searched for movies similar to it, & am about to watch:

The Invisible Guardian. Looks like it might be ok.

Just finished watching season 1 of Warrior, loving it so far and downloading season 2 episodes as they are being released.

Kinda makes me think of the series Kung F-u back in the early 70’s and how it was critically acclaimed and well received but as a young teenager I wanted to see more action and less about Chinese philosophy and culture .

Warrior on the other hand is full of violence and sex and swearing ................... if this had been on tv in the early 70’s pretty sure I would have been sent to bed before the “ good bits “ !! ????

Apparently you can’t even write Kung <deleted> now ????

I vaguely remember watching the hour long episodes for the 15 seconds of fighting.

Great and thanks for the link above; have seen a few of them and will certainly seek out the others.

Saw the original (and the one mentioned in your link) of "the secrets in their eyes" and it was in Spanish? with subtitles and was brilliant, perhaps better than the US version.

Yes, based on writings of Bruce Lee. He wrote them before wokeness was a thing, quite a good series and I think somewhat unique.

Very disappointed by Rialto 2019.....

I'd been waiting for it to be released, knowing what it was about.

However, after around 20 minutes of watching, there was a scene showing a cum shot, & at that point, I turned it off.

Yup, it's got some good reviews, but if I want to watch porn, then I'll go to an appropriate site.

It has a rating of 5.9 on IMDB.

Whilst reviews aren't the be all and end all, I generally find that if something is not at least a 7,

I won't like it.

Doomsday... https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0483607/

You'll probably recognise 50% of the cast from decent movies/ TV Shows but this has to be one of the worse acted, scripted, set, special effects movies that I've ever had the misfortune to watch... Bob Hoskins must be really desperate for cash to appear in this one...

Think "Escape from New York" meets "Mad Max" but scripted, acted, filmed by a bunch of 6 year olds with their 1st smartphone.

Avoid like the Plague (Pun intended) unless you want a movie to pick fun at....

That's ridiculous. Its not a porn.

The Queen's Gambit. - Netflix.

Quite enjoyed this one even though I'm not into chess.

Really annoys me when a series or film shows you a scene in the future at the beginning, then flashers back, just as this one does. Won't watch any more of it, really winds me up lol

Watched the Russell Crowe movie "Unhinged" and if ever a movie made one hate a character, then this was it, because Crowe was thoroughly unlikeable, but overall I thought the movie was good.

Also watched "Untraceable" from a few years back, and that was very enjoyable.

Agree he was thoroughly unlikeable, but that is the mark of a good actor, can play totally different roles and be believable.

In the movie he looked just like that thread on here about him having put on weight with a beard and being unrecognizable.

Wonder did he create that look for the movie or did he get the part because of the look :whistling:
