On the short song theme. Merry Xmas & Happy New Year, bannork. Hope you and the family were making merry. Any new presents from Mrs. Santa Claus? A new bong? A year's supply of ZigZags? A few cartons of zip lock baggies? 5555555555555 Been away on holiday (wink, wink). So of course I wouldn't give up my passion. Nice picks as usual, bannork. And I see you've picked up on my theme. Too bad, I'm going off one of my playlists and there's a lot I'd like to post but unfortunately so much is not available on YT. Still, there's plenty of material to make do. Donovan with the pretty tune, Catch The Wind. The original version off of his '65 debut, What's Bin Did And What's Bin Hid. I could listen to this all day long. Would love to sing it to the wifey but 1) I can't sing worth a sh!t and 2) she wouldn't understand the lyrics. Edit: BTW, I remember you turning me on to Al Stewart's A Small Fruit Song some time ago. I've since downloaded it as it's a very pretty song. You never know when something gets taken down on YT so better safe than sorry. Edited January 3, 2020 by Tippaporn

Popular Post bannork
Gotta love the exuberance of the mid-60s. Bop till you drop (but the boys are still in suits). And then guitar riffs took over as the main focus.

Tippaporn
Another great Quarrymen tune, also recorded in McCartney's family bathroom back in '61 (555555), entitled You'll Be Mine. It is supposedly a parody of the Ink Spots.
Tippaporn
The Bee Gees finest, IMHO, was their '69 red flocked, double-LP Odessa. Simply a masterpiece. I Laugh In Your Face. Interesting Portuguese video.
Tippaporn
Early Paul Kossoff and Simon Kirke when they were in the Black Cat Bones lineup back in '68. Sylvester's Blues off of their one and only LP, Barbed Wire Sandwich. Can't find the individual tune so you'll have to skip to the song via the video description.
