90-day pre-paid SIM, unlimited data, around 10Mbps

Hello again.

Last year, when visiting Thailand, we had a marvellous pre-paid mobile data deal with DTac, for 90 days, unlimited data, at 10Mbps maximum speed.

We're about to return for the same sort of time span and are wondering what the best deal is currently, based, roughly, on last year's unlimited data and speed.

I appreciate that one man's good deal is another's rubbish, and that mobile data quality depends on coverage, but any feedback would be appreciated.

You can now get the same unlimited 10 Mbps deal with DTAC for 200 baht per month, with a new 4G SIM. Though likely not with their Tourist SIM.

Thank you for responding, @Eindhoven .

How long is any contract on that?  Being in Thailand Almost exactly 90 days, we'd be reluctant for longer than 90 days, unless it was compelling.

Have a look on Lazada at This site.

If you are in BKK you can visit MBK, there are many small shops selling sim cards from which you could pick and choose.

I purchased a True sim card in MBK (but can be found online as well) for 1850 Baht which which provides free calls to another True sim card and 10mbps unlimited data for 12 months.

It is monthly. So you just need to top up 600 baht and as long as you don't let the amount drop below that, it will run for three months.

Many thanks, all.

As suggested the DTAC offering we had last year (unlimited data, mx 10Mbps, 90 days) was still available, although the price had increased to TB2100.

because we knew the DTAC reception is good where we are based, we accepted that, so we're all set for the duration of our trip.

Why didn't you just take a new SIM and pay 600 baht for 90 days instead, as I suggested in post #2?
