Thai mother dumps three year old at children's home with tragic note

ou might be right but why are people on this site so angry when a Thai girl decides to redistribute wealth from a foreigner to herself while your advocating it.

Then redistriubution of wealth I referred to was not about a one to one redistribution, but a differnt economic system totally beyond the current capitalist one in which most of the world lives.

Children used to be a way out of poverty, by sending the children to work in sweatshops, farms and later factories, to help support families. Slave labour

We tried socialism it did not work either. I don't believe in full capitalism either. But wealth redistribution sounds quite ominous.

People should just get better schooling and help themselves out of problem. Not perpetual handouts. I also believe that intellect and studying should be rewarded not everyone should make the same money it will kill innovation. I feel that taking risks and developing ones self should be rewarded and a dr can make more then a street sweeper.

Surprised this is even news.

There are reported to be 380000 'orphans'- many of whom have one or both parents, unable/unwilling to take care.

'Social Welfare', (so called) charge fees of USD10-20000 for overseas adoptions, not sure about local. Also not sure where those fees go.....

Just go visit any small orphanage here and find out the back stories.

Then think about the 5 'leading' families and their billions. And those who work for them for below minimum wage.

The root of the problem is poor education ( Education was cut in latest budget- to make space for tanks and submarines), increasing inequality in society, and the lack of social welfare- which could be addressed through a small increase in sales tax.  But that needs a change in Government thinking and planning, so wont happen any time soon.

And that poor little girl is just one more victim......

The publicity is interesting, as this is usually such an 'out of sight, out of mind' problem. Especially for those who drive their expensive cars through the electric gates at their expensive houses. And then go to the temple...

I wonder if these poor Citizens of Tomorrow will just accept their lot, or demand better.

when little girls like this can't even stay with their families due to lack of funds !!!

Never run out of money to buy a bottle of Lao Khao or a national lottery ticket.
I note that the father of the little girl does not want to talk about her and that the mother's partner is in the same state of mind.
If the reporter knows all these things it is because he knows even more;
The police should have no trouble finding these unworthy parents.

How very sad, a mother abandoning his daughter, for the sake of being with another man.

Wake up woman, he will dump you, just like the girls father, then what have you got?

Nothing, sod all, no man, no daughter, just heart break.

How sad it might be, the mother might have done just the right thing for her daughter, giving the child a chance to be with hopefully a better family to care for her.

She finished off: I love you but I really need to do this

She loved herself more than the daughter.....

she left the daughter at the gate because the new man didn't want her... should have told him to go run & jump!

The 1% in this world should be ashamed of their endless money hoarding, when little girls like this can't even stay with their families due to lack of funds !!!

It's 2020 yet people are still starving and others have 2 or 3 super yachts just to be seen on 🤔

Don't begrudge rich people their wealth because they do not spend it in a way that you approve of. The wealthy do not "hoard" money they invest it in businesses and assets almost all of which benefits someone. Even if it's only sitting in their bank, the bank is loaning it out to build houses and buy cars and build businesses. It took hundreds maybe even thousands of people in the supply chain to build their "2 or 3 super yachts" and they have to pay their captains and crew. Those folks are regular people like you and me. Not to mention the upkeep on the yachts and multiple mansions. Those are regular wage earners too. The "rich" spend their money, it goes into the economy. You may be jealous of their wealth or maybe it's envy but they don't keep it under a mattress and bring it out only to bathe in. No poor man ever gave you or me a job.

I just spent a week with "rich" people who donate their time and their money and raise money from their friends to help kids left out like this poor little girl. Their efforts support 7 homes for over 300 kids around Thailand for exactly kids in this position and worse. This mom no doubt did what she thought was best for her child. She was at the end of her rope. There are people out there who give their own time and money to directly help kids like this.

You sit there at your keyboard and berate the "rich" and what do you do? Actually 'do' for these kids, anything at all? Paying tax and demanding "the government" do it for you, doesn't count. Either does bitching about how someone else spends their money. You just pass judgement on others to make yourself feel better. At least the "rich" are giving a few people a job when they buy their yachts.

As the economy starts to falter we will continue see similar stories in the future. I hope the child will be taken care of and that the mother gets to see her daughter again.
