Pattaya: Walking Street patrol nabs snatch thief after he runs off with Chinese tourist's phone

A tourist police patrol out in Walking Street, South Pattaya last night successfully arrested a 24 year old Thai man who had snatched and run off with a Chinese tourist's iPhone. 

 

Ouyang Feifei was in pursuit of the thief at 11 pm when the tourist cops joined in the chase in Pattaya's famed red light district. 

 

They soon had Patrawut, 24, in custody and he was taken to the cells in an incoherent state.  An iPhone valued at 21,000 baht was recovered. 

 

At the police station the suspect tested positive for drugs and was charged with snatch theft and taking Ya Ba, reported Ruk Siam News.

For sure that is pure defamation... there is NO "famed red light district" in Pattaya. For one, police confirmed at least a dozens of times that there is no prostitution in Pattaya and for two, Walking Street is THE family attraction of our lovely city ????

A correct description.

It is "famed".  That does not mean it is. :)

Indeed! And I hope that the author(s) of such libelous statements will be brought to answer for besmirching the good name of Pattaya.  ????

The only way Pattaya Plod capture a criminal is if he runs into their arms.  Most of the time they wouldn't urinate on a burning man.

No one is pointing in the photo, How do we know who is who? I'll make an educated guess that the ones in uniform are not the victim or the perpetrator.
