Yom 173
Around 21:00 - this is ok. For most of the northern people? I'm sure all of you will know Eric Blair's 1984? I think he has written it 1948, only some years after WW II. Btw, a topic named 'phrae-pm25-numbers-2020' should also allow some thoughts in this direction !?
sceadugenga 3,040
Any rain in our region last night? I heard reports of falls in Chiang Mai.
villagefarang 15,790
No rain at our place but the air is a lot better today after some wind last night.
Popular Post cmsally 6,026
A decent amount of rain in Chiang Mai for a couple of hours last night approx 9-10pm but still the AQI is around 150. This should be an indication of just how bad it was before the rain! In my point of view the inaction should be an indicator of how the government and pan national organisations cannot be relied upon to make any difference. The next few years are going to need basic structural changes on a major scale if anything is to be done. The whole workings of the economy , agriculture, environmental management etc are going to need to change completely if things are to get better.

villagefarang 15,790
Hey, a 50% overnight reduction in the house, according to my PM 2.5 monitor, is nothing to laugh at. It is not perfect but it is a lot better, in my opinion. Admittedly, recent hazardous levels have sorely tested, though not completely dimmed, VF's cheerful, optimistic glow.
