bluesofa
I've just received an email from Lazada: "From 20th January, 2020 onwards. Shipping fee receipt will be issued by Lazada Express Limited (LEL), instead of Lazada Thailand. This will not affect your shopping experience." There's a link to click to see the 'terms of use'. It goes into pages. Does anyone know if it affects anything in reality? 'Shipping fee receipt' - I assume this doesn't change the use of Kerry to deliver their goods? CharlieH
Judging by similar things happening, this is a Tax thing they need to do for "proof of purchase / value" re change of company etc. It doesnt actually effect anything your end its an accountancy thing is my opinion, as the delivery aspect is a separate purchase provided by Lazada, not the seller of the item. blackcab
Exactly as @CharlieH said. One business for online selling, and a separate business for shipping. This means the shipping aspect can be handled as a Thai business, subject to Thai taxation, but the selling part of the business can be registered in a more tax efficient country, as all the selling business provides is a digital service. Very similar to how Amazon operates.
