Popular Post webfact
Video: Sacked! Drunk tour bus driver dismissed after angry mob attacks him in Bangkok Picture: Daily News A tour bus driver has been sacked by his company after he hit a taxi and a motorcycle while driving drunk in the Bangkapi area of Bangkok. A video posted by "Sarawut Tum Shiftup" showed the mob taking the law into their own hands by attacking the driver. Meanwhile the other law, a policeman, was seen to look on apparently powerless to stop the violence. Picture: Daily News The poster said that the company had agreed to pay all damages after the incident in the middle of Wednesday night. A motorcyclist was injured. A letter on paper headed "Subcharoen Travel 2007" said that the driver was drunk and was driving the bus out of normal operating hours. The company said they have paid for the trouble caused and sacked the driver. Daily News did not report any police action in the matter. Popular Post OneMoreFarang
Should we somehow assume this was the first time that he was driving a bus while he was drunk? Did nobody in that tour bus company ever see him drunk? Was this the first time? Or is it more likely that was by far not the first time and nobody cared?
Popular Post NE1
Could have been worse , he could have been arrested by the police and given a 500 baht fine and told not to do it again......???????? He will probably remember the beating longer than any other punishment. Edited January 17, 2020 by NE1
Popular Post Golden Triangle
A bit off topic but: I wish they would do the same with their poxy government ???? Back on topic: Whilst I don't condone violence he needed to be reminded of the very great responsibility that his position as a PSV (Public Service Vehicle) driver commands.

Popular Post RichardColeman
Yesterday on of my Thai FB friends (I buy stuff from him more than anything else) posted a video I have not seen of a man laying injured on the floor of the road. He looked like he'd been knocked off his bike as there was a motorbike nearby and a car. People were stood in the road diverting traffic. Suddenly a scream and shouts as a huge lorry just drove straight over the prone guy killing him. Driver got out - surprisingly did not carry on - and said he did not see him laying on the floor as he was on his phone. If he'd have run over my wife or kid, he'd be dead, not punched like in this video 3

Popular Post smedly
I don't agree with mob rule The truth of the matter is that if he hadn't crashed nobody would be any the wiser that he was drunk while driving - the real problem is there is nothing to stop these drunk drivers - until the police actually do police work it will continue - in Pattaya many MB taxi drivers are drunk come 12 midnight - and where the police ? sleeping so they can set up a road block the next day to catch someone turning left on a red or doing a U-turn were they shouldn't or some other petty instance of extortion while the serious dangerous traffic crimes go on without challenge

Bobobirdiebuddy
So he's sacked but will get on with some other company as a driver and this nonsense will just repeat and repeat. Companies who hire these bums don't really care but rather are looking for cheap labor. Small kudos to the company who sacked him but what is needed is a few months in the cooler - this is like the proverbial "transferred to an inactive post" rubbish. Nyezhov
8 hours ago, Wiggy said: who couldn't be bothered Whats he gonna do? Insert himself into a screaming mob? Call for backup? A Ford Police interceptor gonna come screaming up and some Dwaye Johnson lookalike in Oakleys and Tac Vest gonna come barreling out with a baton? They even give the cops here Pepper Sprays or Tasers? I know they buy their own guns, great idea that. Sometimes mob violence just happens here. Sometimes folks get lynched. Thats the way it is. Sometimes street justice can be the best justice in an area where justice isnt certain. The fact that incidents such as these have lessend over the years all through SE Asia is a good way to evaluate how the population has evolved in their beliefs of the certainty of equal justice.
