Homemade bread bun with butter spread on top and bottom while the bun is fresh out of the oven, so to speak, add cooked peppered ground beef, caramelized onions, egg that is cooked sunny side up, but turned over when placed onto the burger, ham, melted mozzarella cheese, a sheet of home grown lettuce, some home grown tomatoes and a little chilli sauce. Bet you won't be eating dinner after that lunch, but MUST have sex that evening to burn those calories off, that is, if you haven't already died and gone to heaven ???? 1 1

Of all the planning I did before coming to Thailand, the biggest error I made was assuming that I would be alright food-wise. In rural Thailand so few ingredients are available. Sometimes I just end up having a big Chang for lunch because I can't face another guai teow moo daeng. Definitely gonna do a big chicken jalfrezi tomorrow after reading this thread. gk10002000
Probably a good home made beef stew on a cold winter day, just like today here in Joisey where it is about to start snowing. Greek pasticio a close second. Actually Greek Egg and lemon soup may trump those. It's a tough call. But now having lived in Florida and California and spending much time in Thailand, all those warm places, I think just some simple shrimp fried rice with a watermelon shake at KISS comes to mind. Sitting there on holiday, warm weather, pretty girls walking around, fresh cooked food. quite pleasurable

The fact that that happens to be vegan, or vegetarian or any other form of diet is a bonus because there is a choice in those who are lucky enough to have a choice. Crossy
Some very, er, "interesting", food combinations here, some possibly worth trying (after an evening on acid). I'm a pretty conventional Brit, fried fish in batter, chunky chips and mushy peas is my go to. Now if only I could get pea-fritters to work without them turning into fried peas ...
