A UK tourist fighting for his life in Thailand is feared to be the first western victim of the Chinese flu-like coronavirus.

 

Ash Shorley, 32, was rushed to hospital in Phuket after a pneumonia-style bug infected both lungs while he was on Koh Phi Phi island.

Amnesty urges Thai govt to drop all charges against Thanathorn, Future Forward members

Air Force commander-in-chief Air Chief Marshal Maanat Wongwat has ordered officers to check the condition of all vehicles under the supervision of the Directorate of Transportation, urging them to stop using vehicles which give out exhaust fumes or contribute to a high level of PM2.5 dust particles, Deputy Chief of the Air Staff Air Marshal Pongsak Semachai, acting as an Air Force spokesman, said on Monday (January 20).

The consortium of BGRIM Power – Energy China , comprising  B Grimm Power Plc (BGRIM) and China Energy Engineering Group Shanxi Electric Power Engineering Co Ltd. (Energy China) has signed a EPC contract to build the world's largest hydro-floating solar hybrid project for the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (Egat).

Turtle nest found on Phuket’s Sai Kaew Beach

PHUKET: Officers this morning erected a fence around another recently laid turtle nest found on Phuket, this one at Sai Kaew Beach on Phuket’s northwestern tip. The nest was confirmed by officers from Sirinath Marine National Park this morning (Jan 20).

Schools in areas with unsafe air quality allowed to close for up to seven days
