Seven opposition parties are to demand that the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) investigate Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha for allegedly breaching the law on three issues, namely:

1 - The Prime Minister failed to state the sources of the Government’s revenue in the Government’s policy statement presented to parliament last year.

2 - The Prime Minister failed to recite the oath fully during the official swearing-in ceremony, an issue which remains unresolved since Constitutional Court has not accepted the matter for consideration.

3 - The process for the selection of senators was illegal due to the presence of members of the post-coup junta on the selection committee.

Acting chief opposition whip and Prachachart party secretary-general Pol Col Thavee Sodsong said that the Opposition’s move against the Prime Minister is unrelated to the planned censure debate, during which some seven cabinet ministers, as well as the Prime Minister, will be challenged.

Every single former-junta member and all the appointees to the senate and government by the junta should be investigated for unusual wealth themselves and their families and connections too.

And so should all opposition party members; former MP's; former PM's and Ministers, and their families, connections and staff including gardeners, drivers and maids.

But it won't happen. Just has it won't happen in the US, UK, France, Germany or any other First World Western democracy either.

I buy lots of stuff from Thais over facebook and hence friended them. In the past month there has been an explosion of laughable comments about this guy from them. Not one says anything positive - and these guys and gals and not lo-so farmers, but educated Bankgkok workers. I've still yet to meet anyone that 'actually' voted for him

In view of the image that has been emerging since the election I wouldn't admit to having voted for anyone in authority now either. And thinking that a lapdog will bite it's master's hand is not very realistic. Unlikely any "probes' are going to take place.

Considering the National anti corruption committee have just appointed 'corrupt Pareena' as part of their ranks doesn't bode well for this going much further......Love it, a corrupt government official elected to join the anti corruption committee.......you couldn't write it any better....poor Thailand.

I dont think that Prayuth realizes how un popular he is these days with the people he surrounds himself with telling him how great he is but out where the real people live I don't think they rate him anymore and that rate may turn to loath over time and he will find himself out of power come the next election. I also think that the people have had enough of the coups and this last one may well be the last one. The people will decide who governs them and if they don't like the current ones then they will change them for someone who may be better, the last coup may well have been the move that makes a Thai democracy the way forward over time, it wont be like we know but it will be their way and we have to let them get on with it and that includes the military as well, they have to be shown and told that the purpose of the military is to support the Government not be the Government.

Unfortunately, the N.A.C.C. never seem to investigate certain of their own members, or people above them, with more authority. This request, or demand, would seem to be a case of:

But the "noise" is worthwhile anyway for when the doodoo starts to hit the fan. The more who realize what is really going on, the better.

But it should. Let Thailand lead the way.
