webfact
Opposition parties to ask NACC to probe Thailand’s Prime Minister (Photo by Ye Aung THU / AFP) Seven opposition parties are to demand that the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) investigate Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha for allegedly breaching the law on three issues, namely: 1 - The Prime Minister failed to state the sources of the Government’s revenue in the Government’s policy statement presented to parliament last year. 2 - The Prime Minister failed to recite the oath fully during the official swearing-in ceremony, an issue which remains unresolved since Constitutional Court has not accepted the matter for consideration. 3 - The process for the selection of senators was illegal due to the presence of members of the post-coup junta on the selection committee. Acting chief opposition whip and Prachachart party secretary-general Pol Col Thavee Sodsong said that the Opposition’s move against the Prime Minister is unrelated to the planned censure debate, during which some seven cabinet ministers, as well as the Prime Minister, will be challenged. And thinking that a lapdog will bite it's master's hand is not very realistic. Unlikely any "probes' are going to take place.

nong38
I dont think that Prayuth realizes how un popular he is these days with the people he surrounds himself with telling him how great he is but out where the real people live I don't think they rate him anymore and that rate may turn to loath over time and he will find himself out of power come the next election. I also think that the people have had enough of the coups and this last one may well be the last one. The people will decide who governs them and if they don't like the current ones then they will change them for someone who may be better, the last coup may well have been the move that makes a Thai democracy the way forward over time, it wont be like we know but it will be their way and we have to let them get on with it and that includes the military as well, they have to be shown and told that the purpose of the military is to support the Government not be the Government.
