Occasionally you'll get posters with a constructive and objective balanced view but they're in the minority, mostly it's just adult kids who get their kicks from slagging off something that others like and enjoy. It's difficult to fathom at times, some try to say they are just being realistic, others clearly are bored or envious and get their kicks from put downs, I'm guessing most are quite young and nearly all know sweet <deleted> about Thailand. If its bad then change it. If it was bad and its now good then you needed the bad to get to the good so love the bad times too. I wanted this post to be positive. If thats not possible then that is sad but I thank the few brave souls for sticking your heads in. Who gives a dam about what the losers think anyway, if its a bad thing to post something positive and be happy then the culture needs to shift. I have my own family here my friend and I love them (i should have specified my extended family). They dont treat each other like s%$% like this forum haha Im not sour I just respect the eastern family ways over the west. Not complicated. The construct of the mongering, comparatively rich, white foreigner and his much younger, less educated, poor Isaan trophy wife are increasingly outdated and thus irrelevant. Similarly, the internet wife where older foreign guys are hooking up with middle-aged Thai school teachers and other professionals has probably passed its zenith. Only the minority of mid-life crisis deniers with their comb-overs and pony tails, Harley-Davidsons and an enduring penchant for gogo dancers have any sort of persistence. My observations from over 40 years of working and living internationally (and not only in Thailand) lend credence to my firm belief that, "That was then...
