Popular Post webfact
Pattaya: That's the way to do it! Pattaya cops solve gold shop "robbery" in minutes Thai caption: Just like the real thing Pattaya police showed how to wrap up serious crime in a matter of minutes. The local force were conducting a drill to reassure shopkeepers, the public and tourists in the wake of the Lopburi gold shop heist after three people were shot and 500,000 baht of gold was stolen by a callous lone gunman. The staged robbery took place at the Aurora gold shop in Big C, South Pattaya yesterday afternoon. An Aurora branch was also the one hit for real on January 9th. The robber - in shorts and a fetching hat and mask - handed staff a note in Thai. It said: "This is a "robbery". Put the gold in the bag quietly, don't make a noise. I have a gun". He then fled with ten baht weight of gold (200,000 baht's worth) on a motorcycle parked outside. Picture: 77kaoded The staff at the shop quickly phoned in a description of the thief and Pattaya's finest swung into impressive action. An all points bulletin was immediately out to patrols in the area. The miscreant was soon in custody after being arrested in Soi Phaniat Chang in Central Pattaya three kilometers away. He was taken back to the gold shop where a quick reenactment was made and a speedy admission of guilt wrapped up the case in next to no time. In fact it was all over in 15 minutes from robbery to pictures for the press. Deputy chief of the Pattaya force Pol Lt-Col Nitthat Waenpradap said it had all gone according to plan. He urged shopkeepers to contact police quickly with a description of the appearance of a robber and use the "Police I Love You" app. He advised gold shops to install inexpensive security shutters to guard against robbery. But he also advised shops to close down by 9 pm. This was because after that was a "risky time", he claimed. mikebell
Pattaya Plod are famous for staged robberies. Check out the one at The Ambassador any day of the week + they've started an off-shoot branch on the Rot Fai road to inconvenience rush hour traffic to the maximum.

DrTuner
"Police I Love You" app. There wouldn't happen to be an app for the other half of the yin-yang, would there? I suspect it would be more popular.

notasmartassknowitallfarag
Photo op face saving result. The guy in Lopburi was a son of a cop so it took 2 weeks of behind the scenes ‘negotiations’ to see if they were ‘allowed’ arrest him.
