Extension of Stay for a Myanmar Passport Holder working on a PJ Passport

Recommended Posts

In 60 days my girlfriend, who is from Myanmar, needs to obtain a new extension of stay for here in Thailand, as her extension she is currently on expires at that time.  I am not sure, and neither is she as to what the requirements, and documents needed, are for someone from one of the ASEAN countries.  She does have a daughter who is a Thai citizen, but was never married to the father.  The daughter spends half of each month with us.  The extension she was given in 2018 was good for 2 years.  Does anyone know what documents she will need to show at Immigration, and as I have found there are only certain Immigrant Offices here in Bangkok she can go to.  No luck finding anything on the internet or making phone calls, other than what I am required to show for my extension of stay and visa.

Additionally, should she wish to travel, would she need the same type of re-entry permit as myself in order to keep her extension valid.

I hope someone can help here with this issue.

She apparently has a Non-la visa that is issued for legalized laborers. A re-entry permit is needed to keep the 2 year stay it allows valid.

The locations of the offices with contact info for them is here. https://division1.immigration.go.th/content/imm_service_center_mou

There is not a lot of info available to apply for a new visa. Perhaps try contacting one of the offices about it.

Some info is here on a Labor Ministry site. https://www.doe.go.th/alien
