Why wouldn't he be, when he and his cronies will be insulated from the effects? I don't know which is sadder, the electorates being gulled by populists who don't have a clue themselves, or angry old men attacking a teenage girl for being angry about the mess we are leaving her generation. There it is again, the ignorance of presuming a binary choice indicates you are either with the "good" or the "bad". Get a grip. 3

As with all trades, supply and demand, people can and do make money. But the idea they reduce carbon emissions is exactly that - an idea. Unless India and China seriously buy into this, which at the moment they aren't, whatever the RoW do won't matter diddly squat. Popular Post Sakeopete
Wake me up when she takes on China. If I didn't know better I would have thought she worked for emperor Xi. Her mission to weaken the west by forcing them into making changes that result in them becoming even less competitive worldwide. All the while China keeps constructing coal fired power plants and making solar panels/windmills to sell in the west. Eventually all worldwide manufacturing comes from Asia and the west becomes even more dependent on their Asian masters. Take over complete. Oh wait isn't that strategy in a famous Chinese book by Sun Tzu. 3

Banning plastic bags in supermarkets where everything is wrapped in plastic, giving up meat, electric cars using scarce raw materials, windmills and lots of taxes. LOL. They won't even stop Brazil burning down the rainforest. Nothing about population reduction, increased public transport and no holiday air travel. As I expected, you left out the elephant in the room - energy generation. That would be rather inconvenient for your argument, would it not? Fossil fuels generate heat. Absorbing radiation from the sun, and converting it to electricity, then storing it in batteries, does not. Markets and financiers are already voting. Gautam Adani could not get a single bank in the whole world to loan the money for the Adani coal mine, so he is going it alone with finance from his house of cards. Feel like being one of his contractors or sub-contractors? It's a race between d##khead politicians and scientists. Bad luck for all of us if the politicians win, but they'll be OK with their taxpayer-funded pensions. Think about that next time you vote for them. 3

If we all took your opinion, our future generations would certainly be doomed, at least she is pushing the envelope for change, why, because it's needed, the world knows it, but Greta has come along and is pushing hard, and we should all support her cause, not put her down, I mean how negative can you be. Superstar? Really? Because of all her extensive studies on climate? I guess this would also make Chicken Little a superstar. Wow, Chicken Little was way before his time. Who would have thunk it. ????
